In the face of migration crisis and the threat of terrorism, internal security is a big challenge for all of us. Only by joint and coordinated actions involving all levels of partners, we can give an adequate response to terrorism and other today's threats to the security of our people," – noted Minister E. Misiūnas.

Minister of the Interior and the French Ambassador positively assessed a professional, mutually beneficial cooperation between law enforcement authorities of the two countries and underlined the willingness to continue it.

This is confirmed by the renewed strategic partnership action plan of both countries for 2016-2019, which provides for deepening relations in the areas of law enforcement and internal security, including the fight against terrorism and organized crime, also crisis management, civil protection and VIP protection.

During the conversation at the Ministry of the Interior, the Minister and the Ambassador also exchanged opinions on current relocation and integration of refugees, strengthening the European Union's external borders protection, the fight against illegal migration and other issues.
