Minister of the Interior Eimutis Misiūnas today met with H.E. Wei Ruixing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Lithuania.
During the meeting with the Minister, bilateral relations and opportunities of further cooperation in the area of internal affairs were discussed. "Our countries are separated geographically by a long distance, but organized crime has neither the distance nor frontiers. Therefore, the cooperation of law enforcement and other institutions of our countries in the area of home affairs is very important and should be further strengthened," said Minister E.Misiūnas.
Congratulating the Minister, Ambassador Wei Ruixing stressed: "Our countries have developed diplomatic relations for 25 years already. The good news is that the Chinese and Lithuanian cooperation is expanding. We are determined to continue to work together to broaden the partnership in various areas, with particular focus on home affairs."
During the conversation at the Ministry of the Interior, the Ambassador thanked the Minister for the close cooperation carried out by the Ministry, all institutions under it and those subordinate to the Ministry with the Chinese Embassy.
