Cooperation and security issues discussed in Kybartai with the U.S. Ambassador to Lithuania
Minister of the Interior Vladislav Kondratovič, during his visit to the Kybartai border control post, met with the U.S. Ambassador to Lithuania, Kara C. McDonald. The meeting focused on key cooperation issues, the situation at the border with the Russian Federation, and an overview of the security of the Kaliningrad special transit scheme.
Minister V. Kondratovič thanked the U.S. government for its significant expert and material support in strengthening border protection and migration management.
“The role of the U.S. in ensuring the security of our state, the region, and, at the same time, the eastern flank of the EU and NATO is crucial. We are grateful for the support, which helps strengthen border protection, improve migration management, and ensure public safety,” said Minister V. Kondratovič.
