Estonian delegation was interested in the Lithuanian experience of its Presidency of the EU Council

On 15 April the delegation of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Estonia headed by the Secretary General Leif Kalev visited the Ministry of the Interior (MoI).
[end_header]The aim of the visit of the delegation was to get acquainted with the experience of the Lithuanian presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). During it, the meetings with the representatives of MoI International Cooperation Department, subdivisions under the Ministry – Police Department, VIP Protection Department, Fire and Rescue Department and those of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place. The Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Estonia Leif Kalev also met the Vice Minister Elvinas Jankevičius.
During the meetings, the delegation was informed about the experience of the Lithuanian presidency of the Council of the EU, the issues related to the presidency were disccussed. The main stages of preparation to the presidency, events arranged by MoI during the presidency, including the issues of their financing, organisation and security ensuring, were presented to the representatives of Estonia.
