Today the Vice-Minister Elvinas Jankevičius met the completing his term of office in Lithuania Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Liu Zengwen.

During the meeting at the Ministry of the Interior (MoI), in which the First Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Ding Tao participated as well, the results of bilateral co-operation in the area of the interior and future perspectives were discussed.

Ambassador Liu Zengwen thanked MoI for fruitful cooperation and the joint work during his term of office expressing hope the co-operation will be successfully continued.

Vice-Minister E. Jankevičius having thanked the Ambassador for his activity, underlined his term of office was really successful – bilateral Lithuanian–Chinese relations were strengthened, co-operation in the area of the interior became more active.

During the meeting it was agreed to continue developing contacts in the areas of importance for both countries, also strengthening co-operation in the area of migration – taking into account the improving investments climate in China in respect of Lithuania and bilateral business contacts becoming more active, it is important to create fair and favourable conditions for investors.

Mr. Liu Zengwen started his work as the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Lithuania since February 2012.
