The Government has decided to resume the state of national emergency from 1 July
Today, the Government has decided to resume the state of national emergency for the threat of the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19), with effect from 1 July 2021.
The Government has provided for state border crossing restrictions, whereby foreigners are not allowed entry to the Republic of Lithuania. Services are allowed in public points of sale, leisure and entertainment venues, public catering facilities, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightclubs, other entertainment venues in compliance with safety requirements. Cultural, entertainment, sports or other events will be held under the requirements for the management of the flow of people, safe physical distance, and other key requirements for public health safety, hygiene and the provision of persons with necessary personal protective equipment. Online ticketing and/or registration of spectators and/or participants and controlling access by spectators and/or participants to the venue of the event will remain mandatory. Also, in indoor events, spectators and/or participants will watch an event seated (except the cases of animal exhibitions), and events will be held at up to 75% seating capacity.
In indoor and outdoor events, where spectators and/or participants watch an event not only from the seats, the number of spectators and/or participants will not be restricted, but it will be required to meet one of the following criteria: vaccination with one of the following COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) vaccines:
- one week after the second dose of Comirnaty or COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna;
- 2 weeks after the dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen;
- 4 weeks but no longer than 13 weeks after the administration of the first dose of Vaxzevria;
- after the second dose of Vaxzevria;
- 2 weeks after the first dose of Comirnaty, COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna, COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen or Vaxzevria administered to the person who had the COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) confirmed by a positive SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result;
- or in the case of recovery of COVID-19 infection confirmed by a positive result of a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result or of an antigen test and where maximum 210 days have passed of the positive testing (but not before the completion of the mandatory self-isolation period).
Requirements and recommendations for protective face masks remain as laid down by the State Commander of National Emergency Operations.
Pre-school, pre-primary, primary, pre-secondary, secondary education, vocational training, higher education, non-formal education for children and adults and education assistance will be provided following the conditions laid down by the State Commander of National Emergency Operations for the management of the flow of people, safe physical distance, and other key requirements for public health safety, hygiene, and the provision of persons with necessary personal protective equipment. It is allowed to attend indoor activities at the same time and children camps for up to 30 children per group, except where the camp is attended only by children and the staff.
In order to keep up the improving epidemiological situation, it is necessary to continue active vaccination efforts and call on for public responsibility so as to acquire collective immunity as soon as possible.
