Lithuania and Latvia are developing a united response to hybrid threats

Minister of the Interior Agnė Bilotaitė met with the new Latvian Minister of the Interior, former Latvian Prime Minister Mari Kučinski. This is the first foreign visit by a Latvian Interior Minister. The ministers discussed issues of border security and civil protection, as well as the migration situation on the border with Belarus.

Lithuanian search and rescue team alongside humanitarian aid are on their way to earthquake-hit Turkey

A Lithuanian search and rescue team is leaving for earthquake-hit Turkey. The team consists of 42 members, including 34 firefighters, 5 paramedics from Kaunas and 3 cynologists from the State Border Guard Service. Humanitarian aid is also being sent to Turkey with essential supplies for the victims.

EU interior ministers discussed important issues on migration policy

Vice-Minister of the Interior Arnoldas Abramavičius attended the informal meeting of EU Ministers of the Interior in Sweden, which has assumed the Presidency of the Council of the European Union at the beginning of the year. The meeting will focus on migration policy and the fight against organised cybercrime.
